Always a pleasure and a delight.

I would never get Indian food from anywhere else - the food is delicious and consistent in terms of wait time and quality. Sometimes they even add complimentary dishes to your order so you can sample new things. The best Indian takeaway in London!

Hi. This isn't feedback for your website but for your restaurant. My children go to the school opposite your place so we walk by everyday and it always surprises me that you don't have a giant sign up saying you were the number one Indian restaurant in s.e London. You guys are incredible and more people should know it!!! Put up a sign, you're missing a lot of passers by. Thanks for being so awesome, so glad we found you!! Well done.

Some dishes can be a little too spicy for our tastes - Garlic Chilli Bhuna and Dhansak are two. Service speed is average but normally one hour is fine for us

Let's see, as I'm typing it's coming up to a 2 hour wait for my food. So expecting like warm food to come through my door anytime now. When I called to check the status of the order I was auured it should be any minute now. That was 15 minutes ago. Please feel free to contact me about the review.

Hi, your website advised that the food would be delivered in 35 minutes, it actually took 85 minutes. If you had let us know we would not have ordered, it was meant to be a treat for my daughter's birthday but we ended up hungry and cross. I am really disappointed, I don't think that this is a reasonable level of customer service or communication.

The lamb in the lamb shaslick was tough, chewy and inedible tonight

Food quality seems to have gone really bad over the past two weeks of orders. I thought you were just having a bad night last week, but this week the food was bad again. I ordered the buffalo wings as a main portion, but they were just tiny chicken pieces not even chicken wings and they were hardly seasoned... I ordered them before and they were real buffalo chicken wings (large) with fantastic flavour. I Also ordered the achari Lamb. There were about 6 pieces of meat in the whole portion and i could not properly chew a single one as the meat was so tough. Where has the gourmet tasty cooking gone to. It used to be the best tasting food around.

We ordered for the first time a few months back and the kind man on the phone offered us 15% off as we were coming from east croydon. The food was delicious although they forgot a portion of onion bahjis but not a big deal, so this time we obviously decided to buy our curry here again, we were happy to go the extra mile for a good curry.. This time however we were so disappointed. The rice was hard, the butter chicken tasted cheesy?!?!?! and the balti was just chicken with a few tomatoes (no peppers or onion). A whole £30 wasted. Will not be ordering again.

Barakah is by far the best takeout for Indian food in our area. They serve traditional as well as regional and gourmet dishes that you can’t get anywhere else. Everything from the mains to rice is so good. Restaurant quality for take out prices.

Barakah Takeaway is worthy of the title “Primus Inter Pares” which translates First Amongst Equals. Compliments to the chefs!
